2:126 And when Abraham said, “My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits—whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day.” Allah said, “And whoever disbelieves—I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination.”
Infers: Allah provides for all, believer or not, but true success is faith. Some today enjoy status through religion—gaining wealth and authority—yet they are the furthest from faith. Scholars who profit from Islam sell hadith books, religious courses, and fatwas for their own gain.
2:127 And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House, [saying], “Our Lord, accept this from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing.”
Infers: Even prophets prayed for acceptance. Yet today, scholars act like gatekeepers to religion, deciding whose repentance is accepted and who is “misguided.” Hadith-based rulings complicate faith instead of making it pure and sincere.
2:128 Our Lord, make us both submissive to You and [raise] from our descendants a nation submissive to You. Show us our rituals and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
Infers: Allah Himself guided the prophets. But today, people rely on hadith books and scholars to dictate every aspect of life, even when those rulings contradict the Qur’an. True submission is to Allah, not hadith scholars.
2:129 Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Almighty, the Wise.
Infers: The Prophet ﷺ was sent to deliver the Qur’an, yet hadith collections attempt to add extra laws and rules that were never in the Book. The message is complete—no additional rulings are needed.
2:130 And who would turn away from the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself? Indeed, We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous.
Infers: Islam was meant to be simple, like Abraham’s way. Those who follow hadith-based laws instead of Qur’an make religion difficult, contradicting Allah’s intent.
2:131 When his Lord said to him, “Submit,” he said, “I have submitted to the Lord of the worlds.”
Infers: True faith is direct submission to Allah. Hadith makes people submit to scholars instead.
2:132 And Abraham instructed his sons and Jacob, [saying], “O my sons, indeed Allah has chosen this religion for you, so do not die except while being Muslims.”
Infers: The true religion is Islam—not sects like Sunni, Shia, or Sufi. These divisions exist because of hadith books that created multiple interpretations, leading to sectarianism.
2:133 Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We will worship your God and the God of your fathers—Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac—one God. And to Him we submit.”
Infers: Worship is for Allah alone. Hadith-based Islam has turned worship into excessive rituals and cultural traditions instead of sincerity.
2:134 That was a nation who has passed away. Theirs is what they earned, and yours is what you earn. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
Infers: People glorify hadith scholars like Bukhari, Abu Dawood, and Muslim as if they are part of faith. But Allah says the past is irrelevant—you are judged on your own actions, not on following the rulings of men.
2:135 And they say, “Be Jews or Christians, so you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists.”
Infers: The true path is Qur’anic Islam. Hadith has introduced Christian-like ideas—like intercession, religious authority figures, and excessive rituals—corrupting the simplicity of faith.
2:136 Say, “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit.”
Infers: Hadith elevates Muhammad ﷺ beyond what Allah decreed, making people obey him more than Allah Himself. The Prophet was a messenger, not a divine authority—yet hadith tries to deify him.
2:137 So if they believe in the same as you believe, then they have been guided. But if they turn away, they are in dissension. But Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Infers: The truth is one—Qur’anic Islam. Hadith-based Islam creates contradictions and divisions.
2:138 [Say, “We take on] the color of Allah. And who is better than Allah in coloring? And we are worshippers of Him.”
Infers: Islam is not about following hadith rules on clothing, beard length, or cultural norms. It is about submission to Allah.
2:139 Say, “Do you argue with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere to Him.”
Infers: The obsession with hadith rulings creates endless debates about minor issues while sincerity is lost.
2:140 Or do you say that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants were Jews or Christians? Say, “Are you more knowing or is Allah?” And who is more unjust than one who conceals testimony he has from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
Infers: The scholars who claim their interpretations are divine knowledge are liars. Hadith scholars have concealed and manipulated the truth for centuries.
2:141 That was a nation who has passed away. Theirs is what they earned, and yours is what you earn. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
Infers: Stop idolizing past scholars and hadith narrators—your faith is judged by your own actions.
2:142 The foolish among the people will say, “What has turned them away from their qiblah, which they used to face?” Say, “To Allah belong the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.”
Infers: Islam is not about rituals—it is about faith and sincerity. Hadith-based Islam makes rituals the focus instead of spirituality.
2:143 And thus We have made you a just nation that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you.
Infers: The Prophet’s role was to deliver the Qur’an. Hadith tries to extend his authority beyond that, making him a lawmaker instead of a messenger.
2:144 We have certainly seen the turning of your face toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah that will please you.
Infers: Hadith added unnecessary rulings about qiblah direction, prayer rituals, and worship style that the Qur’an never mentioned.
2:145 Even if you brought every sign to those who were given the Book, they would not follow your qiblah.
Infers: Those who blindly follow hadith and scholars will never accept Qur’anic Islam, no matter how much evidence is given.
2:146 Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons. But indeed, a group of them conceal the truth while they know [it].
Infers: Just as the People of the Book concealed the truth, many scholars today do the same—hiding clear Qur’anic guidance to push hadith-based laws that serve their authority.
2:147 The truth is from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.
Infers: The Qur’an is the only truth. Yet, scholars manipulate faith by presenting hadith as equally divine, leading people into confusion.
2:148 For each [religious community] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgment] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
Infers: Islam is about sincerity and action, not endless debates over rituals and traditions. Yet, hadith has created unnecessary divisions, making people focus on minor details instead of true faith.
2:149 So from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And indeed, it is the truth from your Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
Infers: A simple command, yet hadith narrations have turned even this into excessive debate. Islam is straightforward, but scholars complicate it with their rulings.
2:150 And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it so that people will have no argument against you, except for those who commit wrong; so do not fear them but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided.
Infers: Islam is meant to be simple and clear, yet hadith and scholars have created excessive rulings that burden people unnecessarily. Allah’s favor is guidance, not rigid legalism.
