Surah 4 – An-Nisa (105-126) – Translation & Inferred Meanings

4:105
Indeed, We have revealed to you the Book in truth so that you may judge between the people by what Allah has shown you. And do not be an advocate for the deceitful.

Infers: Where possible, resolve matters amongst yourselves using Allah’s guidance. Never side with criminals or come to the aid of those who exploit others. Muslims should always side with justice above all.

4:106
And seek forgiveness from Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

Infers: Those who do wrong should seek Allah’s forgiveness and admit their faults. Owning up to mistakes is the first step to true repentance.

4:107
And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Indeed, Allah does not love one who is treacherous and sinful.

Infers: Do not be part of injustice by defending, excusing, or protecting those who refuse to admit their crimes and show no remorse.

4:108
They conceal [their sins] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them when they plot by night in words He does not approve. And Allah encompasses what they do.

Infers: Do not stand in the way of justice. Do what you know is right. You can deceive people, but you cannot deceive Allah. So what is more important—this life or the afterlife?

4:109
Here you are—you argue on their behalf in this world. But who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will be their defender?

Infers: Helping the guilty escape punishment in this life won’t save them in the hereafter. It’s better to right your wrongs now than face the consequences later.

4:110
And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness from Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

Infers: True repentance means making amends for your wrongdoings, seeking forgiveness, and sincerely returning to the right path.

4:111
And whoever earns sin, only earns it against himself. And Allah is Ever-Knowing, Ever-Wise.

Infers: Those who avoid or get in the way of justice are only harming themselves. After all, Allah is always watching and All-Knowing.

4:112
And whoever commits a sin and blames an innocent person has burdened himself with slander and a clear sin.

Infers: Letting others take the fall for your mistakes only adds further sins to your wrongdoing.

4:113
And if it were not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, a group of them would have intended to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they will not harm you at all. And Allah has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allah upon you been great.

Infers: Do not fall for Western traps. They make it seem like they are doing you a favor while actually leading you astray. Fathers should always have custody of children, especially when the mother remarries. That is an example of the Islamic way.

4:114
There is no good in most of their secret talks, except for those who enjoin charity, justice, or reconciliation between people. And whoever does this seeking the pleasure of Allah, We will grant them a great reward.

Infers: Therapy is a scam. Islam is about action, not self-pity and self-victimization. Talking should be a form of charity—supporting the sick, giving time to the elderly, or helping reconcile conflicts.

4:115
And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows a path other than that of the believers, We will leave him to what he has chosen and drive him into Hell—what an evil destination.

Infers: Those who reject Quranic guidance and choose their own path out of arrogance are only deceiving themselves. Divine guidance is divine for a reason.

4:116
Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And whoever associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray.

Infers: Elevating hadith, giving the Prophet divine status, believing scholars are infallible, or thinking something minor like Zamzam water is inherently sacred is a form of shirk. Divine authority and blessings come from Allah alone.

4:117
They invoke none but female deities besides Him, and they only invoke rebellious Satan.

Infers: Claiming divine revelation exists outside of the Quran gives Shaitan space to introduce endless additions over time.

4:118
Whom Allah has cursed, for he had said, “I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion.”

Infers: Shaitan hasn’t retired, so ask yourself—how is he creating divisions, introducing innovations, and leading people away from pure monotheism?

4:119
“I will mislead them, and I will arouse desires in them; I will command them, and they will slit the ears of cattle; and I will command them, and they will change the creation of Allah.” And whoever takes Satan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss.

Infers: From masculine traits come masculine desires, from feminine traits come feminine desires. Shaitan distracts you with small things like hair colour while leading you to major distortions—permanently altering the body to prevent birth. It’s not the minor changes that matter, but the irreversible ones that corrupt Allah’s creation.

4:120
Satan promises them and arouses desires in them, but Satan does not promise them except delusion.

Infers: They say, “do what makes you happy.” But true happiness comes from doing what is best and what is right.

4:121
The refuge of those will be Hell, and they will find no escape from it.

Infers: Those who put happiness above doing what is right are the ones who always wrong themselves in the long run.

4:122
But those who believe and do righteous deeds—We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. The promise of Allah is truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement?

Infers: Those who act with selflessness and put their people first will never truly be sad. Their happiness comes from the success of others. The more good you do, the more actual success you will have.

4:123
Paradise is not [obtained] by your [mere] wishful thinking, nor by that of the People of the Book. Whoever does wrong will be recompensed for it, and he will not find besides Allah a protector or a helper.

Infers: Worship alone is not enough. Everyone has a duty to contribute to the Ummah in whatever way they can. Those capable of more should do more.

4:124
But whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer—such will enter Paradise, and they will not be wronged [even] as much as the speck on a date seed.

Infers: There are no excuses for inaction. Everyone will be held accountable and is expected to do good where they can. Faith must be practiced with sincerity and represented through actions—everyone is judged by their efforts, not just their intentions.

4:125
And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah while doing good and follows the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend.

Infers: Worship alone is not enough. True monotheism means dedicating your life to spreading the truth without fear, doing good for others, rejecting false teachings like the Hadith, and declining fatwas from scholars who have no authority.

4:126
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah encompasses all things.

Infers:
No one has the authority to add, remove, or alter divine guidance. True faith means trusting in His complete dominion and accepting only what He has decreed.
